Bootstrap Systems

The first system that needs to be defined is the contract that legally binds all people within a community. Most communities have their own Constitutions and book of laws, all citizens must abide by. But no one seems to remember agreeing to the conditions of owners and their entitlement to own anything. That has been ingrained in our species since we discovered agriculture.

The Community Equity Contract is that legal agreement all people must sign to be considered an equitable member of the community. This contract does not supersede any existing criminal and civil laws, unless that law is dependent on ownership systems (ex. bail, tax, securities, insurance, etc.). Laws dependent on ownership systems will need to be explored in the Governance Systems.

The contract defines two Standards, Lifetime Labor Obligation and Cycle Labor Obligation. These are the obligations of labor all community members agree to when signing their contract. The LLO defines how many years worth of labor the member is obligated to perform, in order to maintain the person. The CLO defines how many hours per cycle you need to perform to maintain your status as a member of the community.

These three systems are the foundation that defines the breadth and depth of the Equitable Reality. All other explorations and Equity Systems must adhere to these three systems. These systems are also a great starting point when exploring new systems. Most explorations will just take our existing systems and see what happens when you adapt them to the new equity regulations and standards. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel, just make it better.
