System Brief
This process defines how people change their residences.
Justification
- Necessary Systems
- In the event that a person needs, or wants, to change their residences, the community will assist in relocating that person.
- Quality of Life
- Changing residences can improve the quality of life for various reasons, and provides people the freedom to exist somewhere that best suits their needs.
- Sustainability
- Reallocating shelters reduces the demand for new shelter construction.
- Relocating residences can reduce infrastructure demand by living closer to your place of work and access towards needs.
System Functions
Any community member can relocate their residence to a new shelter.
- Relocation that improves sustainability will be prioritized. Including, but not limited to:
- Decreased proximity to labor and access.
- Decreased economic demand to maintain the shelter and land.
- Relocation required by cooperative logistics will be prioritized.
Once a community member has completed their Residence Relocation Application, a Shelter Representative will coordinate with the member to facilitate the relocation.
- A Shelter Coop will identify available residences at the necessary/desired location.
- A Shelter Coop will transport their current residential belongings, excluding residential appliances.
- An Infrastructure Coop will setup utilities at the new shelter.
- A Shelter Coop will prepare and list the old shelter for reallocation.
System Output
As a community member, you will have access to a Shelter Coop Service to facilitate the relocation process and provide you an easy transition.
